It worked! But what you need to do is search for how to put the code in. Luckily I quickly sussed that you hold down the 6 key and it will then ask for the code. To enter the code Press the digit 1 for your first number the correct amount of times for the number you require. I forget but i think I hit 5 after entering the four digit PIN code. You guys are great!

M069629 code is correct = 6335

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Ford Code Entry Instructions for most Ford radios

Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save/store the code press the [ 5 ] key

The set should now operate.

Thanks for your help, after reading your replies and looking at youtube I tried 6335 off and on for a few days. After 4 tries it worked, it also paired with my wife's iphone5 which it hadn't taken before!! many thanks.
