6000cd with central on/off and vol control. How to input?

hi. wonder if anyone know the action required to end the 4 digit sequence? Got the code but unable to complete the sequence.
Pressing 5 just generates "incorrect" response
Code is entered by pressing relevant number on keypad for each digit (no holding down to scroll through)
