Obtaining 6000 CD Serial Number

Just had battery replaced and code in manual doesn't work however I see that the serial no. of my radio is different to that in the manual so it's been replaced at some point!

Would it be possible to obtain the code for a Serial no. M066440, please?

Hi.
After leaving my lights on overnight (again!)
I was greeted with silence from my radio once I got my car going again.
I have done the 1 and 6 etc for the serial number, but mine seems longer:

MGP DJ5
4 - 04
04 - - 03 - - 00

(6000CD)

Hope you can help as you seem to be able to solve tons of the codes.

That is not the Serial Number


The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a Ford code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Hi, brilliant thread! Please do you have a code for my Sony 6 CD radio (Ford Mondeo). Renewed dash bulbs last week and lost the radio after disconnecting the battery.
