Ford sound 2000 code

Hi all,

I've got a sound 2000 radio with a 3 digit code written on the case, when I turn the radio on three dashes are illuminated on the display but it won't let me input the code.
If anyone had any ideas I'd be very grateful ?

Switch ON..and leave SWITCHED ON WITHOUT INTERRUPTION until the display resets to flashing - - -

This can take an hour or longer

Hi and thanks for the reply which I did and it started flashing, great I thought so put the code in which it didn't like and the three dashes stopped flashing. DOH.
The code written on the radio is 967 which it doesn't like.
The radio is a ford EP32S and is 89FB-18K810-AA
And under that is 0032922.
If anyone can suggest another code that would be just fantastic ?
