Help! Just bought a mk4 MONDEO and had to replace the battery, now I'm locked out of the stereo! The number 547645 is hand-written on the service book, I'm hoping it's the serial... Would appreciate if you could generate a code for me to try?!

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Thanks, I did see that message but my stereo isn't on the list, it's the Sony 6 cd sat nav, not touch screen, in a mk4 2010 MONDEO. I'm booked into the local ford dealer to sort it on Tuesday but thought I might save myself £30 by trying a code myself. If you could run it for me i'd appreciate it, but understand if you can't.

You are not quoting the correct Serial Number but he may be able to give further advice and possibly a free code
