Ford 6000CD radio code

The code hand written on the case is 5525 but you say the correct code is 5225 .
When I now switch the unit on I get what looks like V811 MEW on the screen .
If I press the preset button 1 I then get CODE -----
If I then attempt to input 5225 i can scroll up to 5 of the first digit but when attempt to scroll the 2 of the second it goes blank and seems to switch off again .
Does that make sense ?
I am taking the sno from the attached label on the case , under the Sno M 182095 is Part Number 98AP-18C815-AA

All is working again .
I'm ashamed to say that the V811mew was actually VOLUME and by turning the knob took me into CODE------
Once there the problem was that the security plate containing presets 2345 had a poor connection and was not allowing the second digit of the security code to be inputed . By firmly pushing in the security plate and inputing the correct 5225 that you supplied it fired up.
IIRC the code was supplied on a written piece of paper and that would have been the digits I keyed in when I first fitted it . It looks like the code hand written on the case was/is incorrect and you have supplied the correct one.
What a series of errors and problems ........
