M072855 code is 9530

That is the same code that I got from the dealer, however it does not work. How can this be? I think the code began with 8, though I could also imagine that haha. Would anyone swap stickers on the unit? Seems odd to me. I will try again, but since I'm now on my fifth try, how many are there left? And is there any other way to read the code from unit? Sorry for asking lots, I'm just really at. Dead end here
