Fordcd6000 radio code agro

Hi hope can help jus changed battery on mother in laws car didn’t see a problem as I had the code that came in her she’s had it since new. Changed the battery and code says incorrect . Find it in poor taste as ford want 85 plus vat to fix it. The code I have was given to the car when new so why shouldn’t it work.
Anyways the serial after pushing 1-6 buttons is v136417
Can anyone help
