Well, that was a fiddle getting the CD unit out as I put one of the keys in wrongly. But it's out now. Phew!

Hi redrooster,

I've input that code (5334) twice but it says it's incorrect. Any ideas? How many tries do I get, by the way?

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Radio removal instructions can be found here

Please could you check that code 5334 is correct for S/N M014227. I doubt if the CD unit has been recoded as I've had the car for most of its existance.

Thanks
