Obtaining 6000 CD Serial Number

Hi... im driving a ford mondeo on a 2010 plate... it has the 6000cd unit...
somehow the car shut down today as if it was disconnected to battery and lost memory to everything... in the process the unit has reset and is asking for the code...
I think this is the number that people are giving as I cant seem to find one that begins with 'm'

Thanks for the guidance on how to get the serial number without removing the unit. I am looking for the code for my wife's StreetKa radio serial no is M064255. Thanks in anticipation.

I tried the code generator and the result didn't work. I was using the method of pressing buttons 6 and 1 together the get the serial number without removing the radio. I am obviously looking in the wrong place. Can someone clarify where the serial number would be in the sequence of information on the screen.
