I too am having a problem locating the serial number. I hold down the 1 and 6 buttons and the data below is what follows. There is no series of number beginning with the letter M (which is what most people are getting). Any ideas??
If I do need to remove the radio, how do I do it (can I??) without the specialist tools??
Many thanks in advance

Hi, I have a Ford Mondeo 2008, just had my clutch replaced and now my stereo is asking for a code.

The only code I get from holding 6 and 1 is

V034144

if anyone can help with the code it'd be helpful.

Sorry-----Your code is NOT in the small, free database

Ford V Serial Number codes require someone with access to the Ford factory database

If no-one else replies to this request then a recommended honest and reliable UK supplier who supplies codes with a guarantee is here

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

4449 is the correct code for M080006

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
