Thank you for this. That is the code written in the car's logbook but it doesn't unlock the stereo. Does this mean a previous owner has changed the code? If so is there anyway to find it out or override it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Hi I've put the code in that you sent me but the screen isn't changing it's just showing me the code I've put in is there anything else I need to do?

Ford Code Entry Instructions for most Ford radios

Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save/store the code press the [ 5 ] key ....................... or sometimes it is [6] or [>]

The set should now operate.
