The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Radio removal instructions can be found here

Hi there,

New to this so apologies if I am posting in the wrong thread.

I am looking for radio code 7 for my 2001 ford focus. I only found the original radio code after 6 attempts and that doesnt work and now it is saying code 7. Ford is giving me the run around so is there any way I can make my old cars radio and tape player work?

Thanks

I have tried that code and it says something like wait 30 minutes then counts down and says code 7.

I have done it as number 1 on the radio is 0, number 2 on the radio is 1 etc and it comes as code 5, then i tried it again and it counted down from 30 minutes then said code 6 and so on.

I'm up to code 7

Ford Code Entry Instructions for most Ford radios

Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save/store the code press the [ 5 ] key ....................... or sometimes it is [6] or [>]

The set should now operate.

0133 is the correct code for M418724

Where did you find the Serial Number M418724

The correct one is on a label on the radio casing
