Hi everyone, I'm sorry to jump on an old thread here.
I seem to have a common problem. Battery disconnected and no code for my sat nav radio.
I'm really hoping someone can help as I'm going out of my mind with silence on a 50 mile daily commute!
My serial code is.... C7E3A 053488 133920.

M004631 code 5688 has been checked and is correct.
Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number.
This will be found printed on a label on the metal casing so the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard.
Numbers found on cards , in the manual or associated paperwork are often incorrect

Thanks for the reply. It turns out that the radio has been replaced. Not the original. The VIN number does not match. Can this cause a problem? What can be done?

Did you remove the radio from the dashboard?
Is the Serial Number M004631 you quoted the
one that is printed on the label on the radio's metal casing .....or did you find it in the associated paperwork or Audio Manual ?
