Hoping someone can help - I’ve just bought an original radio, 3 code, for my Mk3 Fiesta. It didn’t come with the code and hoping someone might be able to help!

I think I fried my Sound 2000. the fuse popped, changed it but it is no longer turning on.
This happened when I accidentally dropped the + Wire on the metal body
Has anyone any idea what I can check? ((

A visible check inside the radio looking for a burnt out component is a good place to start

If you can use a multimeter , also check to make sure that you have the 12volts to chassis on either side of the ON / OFF switch

I found the problem , a connection on the circuit board was fried so I repaired it.
managed to make it run, and code is working.. THANKS , chippy!
but have an other problem now, it doesn't shut down. whenever I connect 12v everithing is ON. the POWER button doesn't work.
Any suggestions
I am testing it with a battery in my home.
