Ford Radio with strange serial number

Post by AndrewGoldy »

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and was drawn here because it looks like you guys know what you're doing!

I’ve got a Ford Focus 2007 2.0iS, with a radio 5M5T-18C815-BF

I don't know how to "read" the serial number from the actual radio. I’ve attached a picture of the actual radio.

From what I can see, the serial number is 257593380931

There is also an M stamped somewhere, and a C.
Radio - Model.jpg
Can you assist with obtaining the unlocking code by any chance?

If not, can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

This is a FORD SAM model made by Sanyo usually for the Australian or Far East market

Unfortunately these codes are not available on the Internet

They are only available from your local (Australian ? ) Ford Dealer

Thanks so much! It is actually for a South African make Ford. I think that the Focus is either manufactured locally, or constructed locally - which may be the reason for the different type of radio!

Also, the connector at the back is different. I was previously trying to get an iPod docking station installed, but nobody could find the correct connector!

Thanks for your help!
